The ones who take pain
To ensure you reap gains
The one who spend days
To ensure what you learn pays
All thanks to the teachers.
Some call them tutors
Others call them trainers
In schools, they are teachers
In the higher institute of learning
They are called lecturers

Who gets the blame for a bad pupil?
Who gets the blame for a dull student ?

None save the teacher, who is seen as not being capable

Numerous strategies to ensure we further
Days and nights of tutelage
Hours and minutes of countless revision
All thanks to the teachers.
To all teachers I have ever come across
I may not be able
To express all in words
But you’re a part of my world
For in all ways you’ve been my rock.
Joining my voice with others
With my out-of-sight standing ovation
And my whispers of prayers
I say *Happy Teachers Day!*
