Sheikh Garuba Ibrahim Akinola, the ninth Imam of Lagos Central Mosque died at the age of 80, on Sunday 24th and buried according to Islamic rites on Monday 25th, 2017.



At the Fidau prayer held at the central mosque in Idumota, Lagos, iWitness NG joined other journalists to get the views of stakeholders on the deceased. 

 




An elder stateman Senator HAB Fasinro said:


“Sheikh Ibrahim surprised many who didn’t expect him to hold sway after his installation as the ninth Chief Imam of Lagos.


“He was devoted to unity of the ummah and progress of the nation.”
