NO fewer than 120 secondary school students are expected to benefit from a free coaching programme organised by the Academic Excellence Initiative (AEI) in Ile-Ife.

The coordinator of AEI in Ile-Ife, Afeez Jimoh, explained that the coaching would be available for students in Senior Secondary School one to three.

Jimoh, in a press statement, said the programme would hold at Urban Day Middle School by August 1.

He said, “We will be coaching at least 120 students during the programme based on first come first serve basis. Coaching starts by 10am daily and ends by 2pm from Monday to Thursday.

“It will be an intensive Mathematics and English Language coaching and we expect that beneficiaries of the programme will come out in flying colours after the coaching.”

He noted that both English and Mathematics were chosen because many students still find them difficult to pass despite being compulsory subjects.
