The Senior Staff of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) have embarked on a protest against the inefficiency of the institution’s management.

The aggrieved staff, under the umbrella of the Senior Staff Association of Nigeria University (SSANU) blocked the entrance of the university premises as early as 6.30am on Monday, disrupting activities in the institution.

The protesting lecturers carried placards at the gate of the Alabata Main Campus that read “EFCC do your work”, “Bring back our suspended members”, “Oyewole be honest with workers.”

The placards revealed that they are aggrieved over corruption and embezzlement by the management.

The leader of the protest and Chairman f SSANU, Fasunwo Olurotimi, said “we shall not wait till corruption eats FUNAAB.

“ We shall fight against it with all the resources at our disposal.”
