THE National President of Ansar-ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, Alhaji Lateef Okunnu, has urged Muslims to be vigilant and security conscious.
In his Eid message to Muslims at the Ansar-ud-Deen Eid praying ground in Abeokuta, Okunnu also said the fear of Allah should be paramount in all aspects of human lives.
The message was delivered on his behalf by the Ogun State Chairman of the society, Alhaji Jimoh Poopola.
He said that “Islam is a religion of peace and that those killing innocent people are not doing so in the name of the religion.”
He advised people not to take laws into their hands no matter the provocation.
Delivering the sermon, the Chief Imam of Ansarudeen Society in Ogun state, Alhaji Yunus Odekunle, advised Nigerians to bear the current challenges facing the country with patience.
“It is only through patience that we can overcome these challenges. They are from Allah and He will surely assist us in surmounting them,” he said.
He urged Muslims to always fear Allah and be righteous to all and sundry.
“Inability of many to slaughter rams this year is a test that should be born with patience,” he added.
