Civil Defense has warned pilgrims of the dangers of climbing Mount Arafat.

Colonel Abdullah Al-Harthy, official spokesman of Civil Defense forces working during Haj, said that one of the main challenges they face is the overcrowding around Mount Arafat and pilgrims trying to reach the top.

“Civil Defense is taking the needed measures to prevent overcrowding around that area with the help of other departments.”

Al-Harthy called on pilgrims to adhere to the rules and instructions of the Civil Defense for their safety.

“Civil Defense has deployed its teams in locations that might pose a danger to pilgrims,” a Saudi Arabia news medium, Saudi Gazette reports.
