CityFM has retracted its malicious and defamatory statement against Muslims after being petitioned by the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, Lagos State Area Unit.

One Mr. Gbenga, a radio analyst, had alleged MSSN of supporting the unislamic terrorists group, Boko Haram, on CityFM.

The MSSNLagos said it immediately swung into action after the false statement was made and petitioned the a analyst and station.

A statement from the MSSN on Thursday read, “After our attention was drawn to the malicious and defaming statement made by one Mr Gbenga of CityFm 105.1, we swung into action by petitioning the station and NBC. We also immediately involved our lawyers for legal action. 

“However, it has been brought to our notice that the station and presenter have apologised for the unethical statement. They also  retracted their wrong statement about MSS supporting Boko Haram today –  30th January 2020. 

“We urge our members to be calm and be assured that the interest of Muslims and Islam will always be protected by this organisation. 

“We will communicate further course of action on the matter as and when due.

“Jazakumullah khayran to you all for being there always.
