There was chaos in Sokoto State on Thursday as the outgoing Corp members protested non-payment of their five months state allowance.
The iWitness NG gathered that those protesting were the 2015 Batch B Corp members.
It was learnt that during the protest, officials of the state arrived various designated areas of collection across the state with the news that payment of one of the four months arrears has been paid.
An eyewitness said that “most of the Corp members are currently stranded in Sokoto. They planned to return to their respective states of origin on payment of the allowance.”
Another eyewitness added that “officials from the state have also been grounded has Corp members refused to grant them exit out of their site.”
