The Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, Ayobo/Ipaja Area Council congratulates all Muslims across the globe on the celebration of the Eid-il-Adha festival today today 21st August, 2018.

The Amir (President) of the MSSN Ayobo/Ipaja Area Council Odunewu Lukman encourages all Muslims to learn from the act of sacrifice and obedience to Allah displayed by Prophet Ibrahim in total submission to Allah’s injunction despite been a hard type to him. The Prophet could have boycotted the order as it comes rather he tried fulfilling it which resulted to joy for everyone today.

In the press statement, he encourage all Muslims to carry out the merrymaking in full obeisance to the methodology of prophet Muhammad who stands to be a global role model for righteousness.

According to him, he quoted the Prophet in a saying that “engaging in atrocities on the eid day is equivalent to committing atrocities on the dooms day” as such he encourage all Muslims to be courteous of their deeds on this gracious celebration day.

He prayed that “Allah will ease our affairs in this country and grant all our good wishes in our strive towards meeting up with the guidelines of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). He also prayed that Allah accept the hajj of all those that embark on this year hajj inclusive of the state Amir Dr Saheed Ashafa in fulfilling one of the pillars of Islam.

The Amir in his statement also encouraged all Muslims to endeavor to register and get their permanent voter’s card(PVC) as a tool towards contributing to national development. He also urged the government to ensure continuous work for good living of the populace despite the upcoming election activity and that security agents should ensure safety of lives and properties especially during this Eid festival and the coming national election.

He appreciated the effort of all stakeholders in the Ayobo/Ipaja as a whole for their effort towards maintaining peace and orderliness and to all patrons and well-wishers of the society for their kind and moral support always. “He pray that Allah will not forsake anyone of us.” Eid Mubarak.
