Alhaji Muhammadu Abubakar, the Chief Imam of Bwari Central Mosque, FCT, has warned Muslim youths against dangerous motorcycle riding in the course of the Eid-el Kabir celebrations.
Abubakar gave the warning while speaking with newsmen on Sunday in Abuja.

The cleric, while thanking God for the grace to witness another celebration of the festival, urged all Muslims to celebrate in a peaceful atmosphere and avoid any violation of the law.
” I urge youths in Bwari to be careful and be law abiding.
” All this careless motorcycle riding and car race in the name of celebrations must be avoided because it is dangerous.
” It may cause injury to oneself or passers by, or even accidents that may be fatal.
” Please, let us regulate the way we go about the celebrations and avoid anything that will cause tension.”

The cleric also advised Muslims, who are unable to slaughter and make sacrifice of the ram this year, to remain patient as it was not mandatory.

He, however, prayed that those who were unable to do so now would be opportuned to do so at the next festival.

He also urged those who were able to make the sacrifice to ensure they visit, share and make merry with friends and families who could not, especially the widows and orphans.

Abubakar also prayed for God’s intervention in the security challenges facing the country.

He said that all must continually pray for Allah’s guidance for leaders at all levels of government, and also for security agents who were making sacrifices for the safety of the country.

Also speaking, the Madawakin Sarkin Bwari, Alhaji Muhammadu Ango, who spoke on behalf of the Sarkin Bwari, Alhaji Isah Ijakoro, prayed for the safe return of the Emir and all others who had gone on pilgrimage in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

He also prayed that Allah, in his infinite mercies, grant all their prayer requests as they pray for the country and the world at large.
