The Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Ekiti State Council, has cried out over the alleged exclusion of Ekiti Muslims from appointments in Nigeria.
The Muslim group in a letter addressed to President Muhammadu Buhari, demanded for the immediate correction of what it called the “injustice” against Ekiti Muslims in the country.

The Muslim group in a letter addressed to President Muhammadu Buhari, demanded for the immediate correction of what it called the “injustice” against Ekiti Muslims in the country.
The letter entitled: “Exclusion of Ekiti Muslims from National Appointments” and signed by its President in the state, Alhaji Yakubu Sanni and Secretary, Alhaji Tajudeen Adejumo; NSCIA said it was bringing to the notice of President Buhari “the exclusion of Muslims from all national appointments made since the inception of your administration.”
“We observed that in all the series of national appointments made so far, we could not find a single Muslim from Ekiti State.
“We see this as a serious on us as a people with lots of stakes in this country, given the fact that we have eminently qualified Muslims who are active members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.”
According to NSCIA, Muslims “have always been sidelined in the politics of Ekiti State” and expressed the hope that President Buhari “will redress this injustice, more importantly when majority of us supported your candidature and emergence as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
