Speaking on behalf of Jamaatul Nasr Islam (JNI), Hajiya Yelwa Abdullahi, a member of Federation of Muslim Women Association of Nigeria (FOMWAN) said they were in support of child spacing .

She said FOMWAN in Gombe was complementing government’s efforts towards reduction of Maternal Morbidity.

She said with the help of Non Governmental Organisations in the state, the association had volunteered to create awareness on issues that had to do with maternal health.

“We also intend to have dialogue at community level and radio programmes on Child spacing,” she said.
