The Bunyaminu Usman Polytechnic, Hadejia, Jigawa, says it has received approval of National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) for five national academic programmes.
The school’s Spokesman, Malam Muhammad Usman, made the disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Dutse on Friday.
Usman said the approval of the programmes of the polytechnic, situated in Hadejia Local Government Area of Jigawa, was with effect from the 2017/2018 academic session.
He listed the approved programmes as Higher National Diploma in Animal Health Technology, National Diploma in Business Administration and Management, National Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology and National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology.
The spokesman said the approval followed the board’s 2017 Visitation Panel which undertook a resource verification assessment of human and material resources available for the establishment of the programmes.

Muhammad said the rector had also commended the Jigawa Government for its support during the panel’s visit, which he said encouraged the NBTE to grant the approval.
