The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibarhim Sulu-Gambari, has commiserated with Muslim community, especially the Adabiyah Islamic group worldwide, over the death of Kalifa Adabiyah, Alhaji Ahmad Olayiwola Kamaldeen.
Olayiwola-Kamaldeen, a former Commissioner for Education and retired Permanent Secretary in the state, died on Friday after a brief illness at the age of 82.
The Emir, in a condolence message signed on Saturday by his Media Aide, Malam Abdulazeez Arowona, described the deceased as a civil servant of repute and with high integrity during his life time.
The royal father, who is also Chairman Kwara Council of Chiefs, said Olayiwola-Kamaldeen maintained the good disposition since he ascended the position of his late father and founder of the Adabiyah Islamic movement, Sheikh Muhammad Kamaldeen Al-Adaby.
Sulu-Gambari also commended the contributions of late Khalifa Adabiyah as a member of Ilorin Emirate Council of Ulama in a bid to further uphold the Islamic tenets.
He praised the late lslamic cleric for promoting religious culture, moral values and heritage of Ilorin community.
“He was known for his humility, tolerance and dedication to the course of Allah.
“His wise counsel and significance in the Adabiyah Islamic movement would surely be missed,” the royal father said.
The monarch urged the family of the deceased, especially the wife, Hajiya Aishat Olayiwola-Kamaldeen, to find solace in the fact that the late cleric lived an exemplary life worthy of emulation,.
Sulu-Gambari prayed Allah to forgive the deceased his shortcomings, accept his good deeds and admit his soul into Al-janatul firdaus.
