The Lagos State Amirul Hajj, Dr Abdulhakeem Abdullateef, has implored pilgrims performing Hajj to conserve their energy for the Hajj Rites.

He gave the admonition following the announcement made by the High Judiciary Council on this year’s Eid-adha in Mecca.

Dr Abdullateef advised the pilgrims to minimize the rate at which they roam about during mid day when the Sun is at its peak.

Meanwhile, the High Judiciary Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has declared Monday 12th September 2016 as Eed al-Adhaa 1437 festival.

This was contained in the official decision and announcement of the High Judiciary Council (HJC) of Saudi Arabia regarding the beginning of Dhul-Hijjah.

Dhul-Hijjah First will be on Saturday 3rd September 2016, and the Muslims performing Hajj will converge on Mount Arafah on Sunday 11th September 2016 which is the 9th day of Dhul-Hijjah 1437

The Celebration of ‘Eed al-Adhaa festival comes up the following day Monday 12th September 2016, the 10th Dhul-Hijjah 1437.
