The principal of Isolo Secondary School, Mrs J O Sadare, has been reportedly summoned by the Lagos State Deputy Governor for suspending five Muslim students who wore hijab to school.

This came after the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, Lagos State Area Unit submitted a petition to the Lagos State Governor, Commissioners for Justice and Home Affairs among others.

Among the demands in the petition is that the Principal should be sanctioned.

The principal had sacked the Assistant Head Girl of the school who refused to put off the hijab and suspended four others.

It was learnt that the principal was scolded and alleged of insubordination when she appeared in the office of the Deputy Governor around 12noon.

Sadare is a Former Vice principal of Opebi Senior Grammar School. She studied Guidance and Counselling at the University of Ibadan.

Also, the DPO of Okota Police Station had invited the Amir of Isolo MSSN and the entire Muslim forum of Isolo to attend a meeting.

Meanwhile, the students are yet to be asked to resume to school with their hijab.
