MEMBERS of the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria in Lagos State have lamented the death of Hajia Tawakalt Akala and her one-year-old baby.

iWitness NG learnt that the deceased and her baby died on Saturday, July 30 at Festac town, Lagos.

“It was an accident while in a tricycle. The Tricycle was hit a by vehicle. Another jeep hit the tricycle, three people died while three others had severe injuries,” a source said.

Although, only sketchy details of her death was available, the deceased will be buried on Sunday, July 31 at Isashi Muslim Cementry by 08am.

Before her death, she is married to the Amir of MSSN in Amuwon Odofin, Mallam Shuaib.

Announcing her death, former Amir of MSSN Lagos, Kaamil Kalejaiye wrote, “Former Aminul ‘Am and Amir of Amuwon Odofin Area council lost his wife and one of his children in an accident at FESTAC.

“LIfe is too short, let make our impact while we breath. we do not know when is our last breath. Death is enough as warning.”

On his part, Amir of MSSN Lagos State Area Unit, Saheed Ashafa prayed that Allah will grant the family of the deceased the fortitude to bear the loss.

Gbadegesin Shamsudeen said, “May Allah forgive her sins and admit her to His mercies.”

Baseerah Onilegbale wrote, “اللهم اغفر لها و ارحمها و عافها و اعف عنها و وسع مدخلها و أكرم نزلها و اغسلها بالماء و ثلج. و البرد و نقها من الذنوب و الخطايا كما نقيت ثوب الأبيض من الدنس و ابدل لها دارا خيرا من دارها و أهلا خيرا من أهلها و أدخلها الجنة و أعزها من عذاب القبر و عذاب النار

Kudroh Omolola added, “Just that Saturday morning, we were all together still enjoying our reunion after a while separation.

“I have looked at her and her child with such love and admiration, I told her this daughter of yours looked so much like you, she told me that I’m the second to say that to her. I smiled and gave the child a second look, not knowing it is the last time I’ll see them.

“What a great separation! How painful, My Lord knows best why He took Tawakalt now. May He unite us all as an Ummah in Janat firdaus again.
May Allah (SWT) have mercy on her soul, and wash her sins away and grant her Aljanat Firdaus. (Amin)”
