The Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, Ogun State Area Unit has decried the high rate of attacks by the militants as well as cultism in Ogun State.

The group said this in a press statement to announce its upcoming Islamic Vacation Course (IVC) holding between July 29 and August 2, 2016.

Amir of the MSSN Ogun Area Unit, Ustadh Yahya Hassan Abiodun, in the press statement,
called on security agents to live up to their responsibility of providing safety and security.

The press statement made available to newsmen in Sagamu read in part, “The 5-day Camping programme is scheduled to hold between 29 July and 2nd August 2016 at Social Development Institute, Shasha, Iperu Remo, Ogun state.

“The Course will feature prominent Islamic motivational speakers, scholars, vocational trainers and career development experts.”

Speaking on the theme of the programme, Yahya noted that no fewer than 1,000 delegates are expected at the programme with the theme: ‘Building on the Legacy’.

Yahya, subsequently, counselled the Muslims to be role models in the society by their actions and inactions.

He also urged the parents to be more responsible in child upbringing based on tenets of Islam.
