The National Amir of the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Mallam Jameel Muhammad, has advised the newly inaugurated MSSN executives of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife branch to unite all Muslim students in the institution.

The National Amir said this on Friday while reacting to a news update on the inauguration of the MSSN-OAU executives in OAU on Facebook.

While affirming the authenticity of the inauguration, he warned against name-calling and prayed for the progress of Muslims.

He subsequently prayed to Allah to make the administration of the MSSN-OAU executives successful.

In one of his reactions, he said, “The truth of the matter is, MSSN officials of OAU had been inaugurated. It beholds on them to carry every member along devoid of rancour and favouratism.

“May Allah ease ease the task for them. Please, let us avoid name calling or tagging of our brothers and sisters.”

Recall that new executives of the MSSN-OAU branch were officially inaugurated on Friday, August 12.

The inauguration took place at the Central Mosque of the institution after Jumaat prayer.

According to reports, such inauguration held last in OAU around year 2000.

Giving his acceptance speech, the MSSN OAU Amir, Abdulhakeem Idowu, prayed to Allah to guide the new executives.

He assured the students that they would be carried along in all activities of the MSSN OAU.
