The Proprietor of the college, Alhaji Auwalu Sulaiman-Darma disclosed this at the presentation of certificates to 47 graduands of Special Diploma in teaching Arabic as a second language in Kano on Thursday.
The course was organised by the college in collaboration with Humanitarian Aid and Development Centre for Arabic language of Nigeria and Khartoum International Institute for Arabic Language (HADCON).
He said the college, being a private institution, is one the colleges of education in the country to have its courses fully accredited by the commission.
He listed the accredited courses as Education, History, Geographiy, Arabic Medium, Islamic studies, Social studies and Hausa language.
Others are:Economics, Computer Studies, Mathmatics, Arabic language, P. E. S and English language.
He said the decision to establish the college was borne out of effort to complement the state government’s effort toward providing quality education in the state.
“Provision of education should not be the responsibility of government alone but for both parents and stakeholders in the society,”he said.
He urged the graduands to put what they learnt into proper practice to make the society better and be good ambassadors of the college.
Earlier in his remarks, the Director of the Centre, Dr Saiful Nasar assured the college of continuous support in order to promote education in the state and the country at large.
He commended the Proprietor for establishing the college which he said would go along way in promoting teaching and learning.
