According to the commissioner,  the present administration will not promote  one religion over the other.

He said the state government was happy with the cooperation of  adherents of the  two major religions and suggested  that regular meetings be held to promote peace and unity.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the  Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mr Adebunmi Alabi, emphasised the need to promote equity, fairness, love and  peace  in the state.

The Mufasir of Osogbo, Sheik Maruf Ishola, on his part,  advised  religious leaders to  be sincere in their preaching  to foster a better  society .
