Ibrahim Abdullahi, the National Coordinator, Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria, has admonished President Muhammadu Buhari to put security agencies on 24 hours red-alert throughout the Northeast in order to avert the ‘frequent abduction of school children’ confronting the zone.
The group coordinator, who spoke at a press conference in Katsina, also called on the president to ensure speedy release of the Chibok girls and Dapchi newly abducted school children.
Abdullahi urged the president to shot down all boarding schools in the northeast until Boko-Haram is totally decimated and uprooted in the area.
He said: “With the last attack in Dapchi, Yobe State on 19th February, 2018, more security threats are now imminent in our main markets in the cities of Northeast.
“Also nefarious activities of the violent herdsmen, militia groups masquerading as herdsmen, criminals abducting people for ransom and other hoodlums would be check if more personnel’s are brought into the military and security forces with required training given to them.”
The group, however, applauded President Buhari for his anti-corruption fight and the repositioning of the nation’s economic, urging him to re-candle his effort to rid Nigeria out of crimes.
