Ramadan: Ore Olohun Mosque Imam advises Muslims not to relent as fasting ends

Jimoh, who gave the advice in Ilorin on Tuesday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), noted that some Muslims tend to relax in their acts of worship and charity as Ramadan ends.

He advised all Muslims not be complacent in getting closer to their Creator at all times.

“I am advising my Muslim brethren not to relent on the routine prayer and fasting as it is expected of them.

“Muslims must take the Holy month serious from the beginning to the very end of it, in order to receive abundant reward from the Almighty Allah.

“This is not the time to relent in your Act of Ibadah, alms giving and show of love to people around you.

“Some Muslim becomes lazy as Ramadan approaches the end; the commitment must remain as it was at the inception of the fasting,” he said.

Jimoh, however, urged all the Muslims faithful not to limit their good act and prayer observation to the Month of Ramadan alone, but should continue even after the Holy Month.
