Abdulmutolib Abdulmumeen who is the first runner up of just concluded world Quranic Recitation Competition in Saudi Arabia representing Nigeria was born and bred in Ilorin.
He is a descendant of Adewole Ward at Olowo’s Compound, Idigba, Ilorin.
This young talented attended both Islamic and Western education concurrently in Ilorin.
He attended his father’s Madrazat and later became tutor in that madrazat where equally trained many other in Thaofiz.
He is an ND holder in Computer Science from Kwara State Polythecnic.
He has won several awards, representing state in different part of the country and outside the country.
Currently, he is in Saudi Arabia performing his lesser hajj after he won this year edition of The World Quran Competition, representing Nigeria as first runner up.
Indeed, this is a pride of Nigeria in general and kwara specifically.
This meritorious performance calls for celebration as a good ambassador of our dear state.
