The Senator representing Osun central, Dr. Ajibola Bashiru, has made case for knowledge of science and technology for Nigeria to compete with the advanced country.
He said those Muslims that are memorizing the Holy Quran have a better chance to succeed in science and technology because the later is not as difficult as the former.
Speaking at the Quranic graduation of the Muslim Society of Nigeria, MSSN, Morkazul Amonah, Osogbo, at the weekend, he noted that knowledge of Arabic will make heaven easy for Muslims just as knowledge of science will make life enjoyable.
He stressed that it is high time for Muslims to involve in the study of Information Communication and Technology has advised by Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
He said Muslims should not limit knowledge to Arabic speaking but strive further to study nursing because of the need to ensure that Muslim women have women Nurse to attend to them in the hospitals.
The second lecturer, Ustaz Nurudeen Abajaoro, enjoined the graduands to be contended with whatever Allah give them in life, noting that the certificate is not a license to get rich.
In a separate remarks, the Principal and the Zonal Amir of MSSN, Ustaz Bashir Oladunkanmi and Bar. Qoseem Odedeji, advised the graduands not to relent in seeking advanced knowledge.
The total number of 88 including 53 in primary, 25 junior and 10 senior graduated and received their certificates.
