Standard Bearers to hold competition for over 5,000 students in Osun

A Muslim group known as Standard Bearers Islamic Organization(SB) Osun State branch, is set to organise a competition for over 5,000 Muslim students in Osun.

A statement issued by the organisers and headed by the State coordinator of the organization, Dr Kamil Tijani, disclosed that the association has invited all Muslims students in SS2 and SS3 across Osun State to apply for Career Mentorship Programme 2019, tagged “Indigent But Brilliant”.

While speaking to our correspondent, Tijani said the competition which application closes on September 30th, 2018 and the screening examination will hold on Saturday, 13th October, 2018, would empower the students academic growth.

He added that the aim of the program is to give cash rewards to assist winners of the competition who are indigent but brilliant Muslim students in secondary school in Osun State with free examination fees for the West Africa Examination Council, WAEC, or National
Examination Council, NECO.

He expressed further that the venues of the screening examination will be communicated to all shortlisted candidates.

“Muslims who are in SS2 or SS3 that want to apply should send their name, address, School, and Class via text SMS or WhatsApp or by
hand to 08037693992, 08101790701(Ife/Olode zone), 08030619963, 07034589332(Osogbo/Ikirun Zone) or to sbosunstate@gmail.com on or before 30th September, 2018,” he said.
