The Muslim Congress (TMC) in conjunction with the Organisation of Tadhamunul Muslumeen (OTM) have organised a seminar aimed at building good image for Islam.
The programme themed, ‘the role of Public Relations in dawah propagation’, held on Saturday, August 6th, 2016 in Kwara State.
The Head of the Media Unit of OTM, Dr. Hamzah Abdurraheem of Al-Hikmah University, who was one of the organisers alongside Dr Mrs Saudat Sala Abdulbaqi of the University of Ilorin were some of the dignitaries present at the occasion.
The training was organised for Public Relations Officers and Secretaries of Islamic organizations.
While delivering the lecture, Dr. Abdulbaqi, who is also the Head of Department of Mass Communication, UNILORIN counselled the participants to promote the image of Islam through media.
The speaker, who doubles as National Ameerah of the Criterion, noted that there was need for Muslims to take active role in media.
Attendants were awarded certificates after the Seminar.
