A final year student of the University of Lagos was allegedly shot by unknown gunmen around 8:46pm on Wednesday.
The student known as Bayo by friends was shot in the front of his hostel, Saburi Biobaku Hall of Residence.
The alleged perpetrators reportedly escaped after the act with a tinted car.
Sources confirmed that the shot student is still alive.
Also, early Thursday, students of Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) were robbed.
The robbery attack occurred at Adejoke Hostel, which is estimated to accommodate about 15 per cent of the FUNAAB students.
It was gathered that following the incident at FUNAAB, students stormed the street to protest.
