Worshippers at the Gaji Central Mosque, Olonkoro along Igbona road, Osogbo escaped death by seconds as truck loaded with beer rammed into the mosque.
Witnesses said the truck lost control and rammed into the mosque during prayers.
Bottles of beer littered the road and the mosque premises and the liquid contest splashed all over, infuriating worshippers.
The incident angered the worshipers and it took the intervention of some clerics and elders to prevent the situation from degenerating into crisis.
The Police Public Relations Officer for Osun State Police Command, Folasade Odoro said the matter was reported to the police and that it is under investigation.
