Jaiz Bank says one of its staff in the Ikeja branch, Lagos has tested positive for coronavirus.
The bank, in a statement said the staff has been put in isolation, and he’s in a stable condition. It also disclosed that other staff of the branch have been directed to go on self-quarantine for 14 days.
According to the bank, “This is to notify you that one of our staff in Ikeja branch who showed symptoms of Covid-19 has been put in isolation and he is in stable condition. Other staff of the branch have been directed to go on self-quarantine for a period of 14 days in line with Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) guidelines to ensure the wellbeing of our employees, customers and stakeholders.
“The branch has been shut down for the safety of our customers and staff and immediate disinfection of the branch will take place to eliminate any cause for worry.
“In keeping with our commitment to ensure the safety of our customers and all stakeholders, we wish to advise any customer that has visited the branch within the last week to self- quarantine themselves for two weeks.
“We encourage all our customers and stakeholders to adhere to outlined steps that would help curb the spread of the virus, amongst which are maintaining high hygiene standards, social distancing and regular washing of hands with water and soap.
“Please note that we will continue to serve you through our alternate banking channels for transactions (Mobile Banking App, Internet Banking & USSD *773#), for your banking needs.”
