The Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Lagos State Area Unit, has unveiled crucial updates and information regarding the upcoming 114th Islamic Vacation Course (IVC). This annual event, highly anticipated by many, is set to be more significant and more impactful than ever before.
In an internal memo addressed to executive council members, Amir Kamoldeen Abiona highlighted the extensive deliberations and consultations that have taken place within the organisation’s leadership. These discussions have led to key decisions and a dedication to exceeding the successes of previous IVCs.
Amir Kamoldeen Abiona shared, “Making decisions related to preparation, modality, and implementation was not an easy task. After numerous meetings and consultations with our cabinet and stakeholders, we have reached the following conclusions.”
2023 December IVC format
A significant change in the IVC’s format was announced – it will be a single-phase event for all participants, taking place from 24th to 30th December, at the Human Capital Development Centre in Noforija, Epe. This marks a departure from previous editions and promises a fresh and engaging experience.
114th IVC Registration Fees
The memo also outlined the registration fees and online registration procedures. “For the 114th IVC,” Abiona explained, “registration fees will be ₦8,500 for Secondary School students, ₦12,000 for Undergraduates, and ₦15,000 for Graduates. To incentivise early registration, especially for Secondary School and Undergraduate categories, an early-bird registration opportunity is available until 12th November, with reduced fees of ₦7,000 and ₦10,000, respectively.”
Amir Abiona concluded by urging all participants to strictly adhere to the provided guidelines and to work diligently to ensure the success of this forthcoming training programme.
