The events of the past few days have left me perturbed, disturbed and worried sick because of the grave dangers they portend not only for the spread of Sunnah but also for the security of life and property.
Having listened to the various audio lectures and phone conversations between the defamers and the defamed, and coupled with the precedence of such shenanigans within the camp of the Takfeeris down here (ILORIN), I came to the conclusion that:
“The Yorùbá version of Boko Haram is gradually loading and is likely to be bloodier and messier than the Maiduguri version.”
With the barrage of insults and assassination of character of anyone outside their “doctrinal milieu”, as well as issuance of death warrants against them, there can be no better ground to make the assertion above.
Should security operatives chose to look away, ignoring all of this “flashpuence” of war, and should they fail to “take very urgent and responsible steps to meander the interstices of eschewable cataracts, land mines, waterfronts, icebergs and ox bow lakes, the “agídígbó” being beaten by these bombastic and overzealous elements has all the capacities and possibilities of wrecking the ship of the Nigerian state in the disastrous and pestilential aqua of aterminus aquem.”
When youths who are idle, insolent, morally bankrupt, intellectually impotent, and overzealous become the self-acclaimed champions of Sunnah and upholders of pristine Islam, then obviously there is a serious fire on the mountain.
May Allah protect Islam and the Muslims from the fitnah of all deviant and errant persons and groups.
